FALLES

Falles are one of the most famous traditions in Valencia ,  this traditon is celebrated every years in March   in honour to San José  and the falles  mean the end of the winter and the top of the spring.

The falles consist in build a lot of  structures in wood,  cork and cardboard . Sometimes this strucutres look like someone famous people .

Maybe one of the best moments in Les Falles is "La nit de la cremà" , that night all the falles are burned , but all the years , one falla isn´t burned , this falla is named  "Ninot indultat" , that isn´t burned because people decide that is wonderful .

Other thing tipical in falles is la mascletà . In la mascletà , many kilos of  powder is used for fireworks and this fireworks are fired when La fallera Major ( the representat of the festival) says : Señor pirotècnic , pot començar la mascletà. Then , a lot of fireworks are fired.

In this festival peolpe eats Bunyols . Bunyols are made of pumpkin and those are really delicious.

In falles the groups of falleros and falleras give flowers to the Virgen and this people is acompannied by music bands.

People organized clans in falles , for example , Nou Campanar is one of the most famous clans fallereos . Usually this clan won the best prize in fallas thanks to the falla built by them .

Sometimes the cost of build the falla is higher than the reward , but the important is the tradition.

In my opinion , Falles and the October 9th are the most important traditions in Valencia .
